On Monday I had some friends over for a little lunch and some creativity. It rained in the morning and by noon was beautiful. We had our lunch outside then headed inside to create. As you can see they each did a great job and took home some lovely pieces of jewelry. It was still a little cloudy so the pictures could be better but still beautiful jewelry.

Turquoise lampwork by Sue Beads, swarovski crystals, copper and brass.

I love these lampwork beads from Sue Beads, the colors are beautiful. I have had them for a while just hoarding them, I guess. I don’t know why because Sue is so good about reorders and getting beads to you fast. I used some of the turquoise beads like the first pair of earrings in a bracelet and had a special order to make a necklace to match. Sue had beads in the mail to me faster than a whip stitch (do you like my Kansas slang). Thank you Sue, you are awesome. Sue’s blog.

The Bead Soup Party Hosted by Lori Anderson, stop by her blog for all the details.
My bead soup mix from Jeannie, awesome pendant ( Thai silver is my favorite) and cute silver owl clasp with swarovski crystals and Czech glass.
My Creation

I used Labradorite nuggets, Czech glass and two leaves from Every Heart Crafts with a mix of metals.
The Thai silver pendant is on a small strand of leather strung with oxidized Thai silver. Two forged copper stripes, copper beads, Thai silver beads and sterling silver chain in the body of the necklace with the beads.
I didn’t use any of the Czech glass or the crystals, I just kept going back to a more natural or organic look.
Please take time to check out more of the bead soup blogs. I have added a list of todays party. You can get a full list by going here.

I am having fun working with all the beads, charms, pendants and etc. I bought in Tucson. I need to make jewelry 24 hour a day just use the stuff I came home with. It was great shopping.

I used a Green Girl charm ” Love is the key”, antique key, labradorite, Czech glass and sterling silver chain and beads.

Picture I took of Andrew at the Green Girl booth in Tucson. We had a good time talking and looking at all the beads and charms.

The leaf pendant is from Lisa Peters Art I also used Czech glass, copper chain and pearls.
Please have a look at my Flickr if you would like to see larger photos.

This month’s challenge is
“Fairy Feller’s-Master Stroke”
by Richard Dadd.

I used a handmade bead by Lynn Davis, Czech glass, jasper and Hilltribe Thai silver, all strung on natural colored cord.
I think Lynn’s bead has old worked charm.
You can see all entries on the group flickr photos and you can see more views of my necklace on my flickr photos.
Thanks for stopping by and I thank all of you who stop by and leave comments, I love to read each and everyone.

Pendant from LeAnn of Summers Studio Pottery ( I love the colors), bronzite, Fancy quartz, Toho cube beads and copper chain. I seem to really be into copper lately. Copper has always been one of my favorite things. When I was young and we would go on vacation I remember often coming home with a new piece of copper jewelry. The tourist shops had a good selection of copper. I still have several of my finds from years gone by.
Silver is still my favourite metal and the one I love to work with. I have made jewelry for years and would have never thought of using brass or other base metals (except copper) , till lately. I have still used brass only a very few times, I am just a sterling silver girl.

I love this enamel bead!!!

The enamel bead was made by Barbara Lewis and it was so much fun to work with. I also used copper and Czech glass beads. Found the Czech glass in Broken Arrow Oklahoma on one of my trips to the dentist (my brother-in-law for a root canal and crown). The shop is called the Beadles and it was so much fun to visit.

My friend Linda came from Oklahoma for a jewelry weekend. We had a great time!!! I hope she and her son Sam will come back soon maybe even bring her husband Alan next time.

We did some etching, this is my favorite .

We did some bead weaving inside copper and silver. After we cut them out hammered and shaped them.

And some new earrings. I will get some more pictures soon of things we made.
I have also posted pictures of Sam having fun on the farm over on my other blog.
